David practices in the areas of business law, tax law, wills, trusts and probate. He has experience representing individuals and businesses in all phases of the life cycle of a business, from formation to sale. David has particular experience in the tax aspects of forming and operating businesses. Additionally, David’s experience has included the preparation and probate of wills, trusts and powers of attorney.

David is licensed to practice law in Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2002. He also practiced law as an associate attorney with the business, tax, and estate planning law firm, Gregory A. Garcia & Associates, LLC in Athens, Georgia from 2002 until 2009.

David is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the United States Tax Court. He serves on the Executive Board of the North Georgia Jaycees. He is also a charter member and current Director of Membership for the Terry Entrepreneurship Society, an association affiliated with the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, which is dedicated to entrepreneurial growth and small business development in the State of Georgia.  David is also a member of WealthCounsel, a collaborative group of more than 2,000 estate planning attorneys nationwide. WealthCounsel is an industry leader in continuing education for estate planning attorneys, developing timely and cutting edge techniques to address estate planning trends and changes in the laws related to estate planning.

David lives with his wife, Heather, and their two daughters in Watkinsville.
